WHO WE ARE?
Established in 2002, Environmental Resources Institute (ERI) Pvt. Ltd. is a Nepal based pioneering institution dedicated to research and evaluation, capacity building, and the design and management of development programs. Our core values include socially responsible business practices, unwavering commitment to quality service, efficiency, transparency, and accountability. At ERI, we adopt innovative approaches in transforming governance, institutions and technologies in pursuit of sustainable development. Our work spans diverse areas including agriculture, forestry, climate change, water and energy, environment, and public health and eco-tourism. With an interdisciplinary team comprising of expertise on social science, natural resource management, environmental science, and human resource and financial management among others, ERI is at the forefront of catalyzing positive change in Nepal and beyond.

MISSION
ERI’s mission is to empower people to promote and achieve meaningful change through research, development and capacity building for positive social change, sustainable development, and fair and transparent world. We envision fair and quality services, democratization of institutions, and participatory governance that can facilitate sustainable, efficient and equitable management of resources which helps to meet the goal of community development and poverty alleviation.
OBJECTIVES
Environmental Resources Institute (ERI) broadly aims to provide high quality services in the areas of agriculture, forestry, climate change, water and energy, environment, and public health and eco-tourism. The specific objectives are:
- To respond to ever increasing national and international demands for quality and pesticide free foods through linking institutions at various levels, campaigning, and awareness raising;
- To contribute in enhanced livelihood by supporting in research and development of forest-based enterprise, governance, and biodiversity;
- To promote people’s rights and access to water, energy, health and other environmental resources;
- To document and disseminate learnings and innovations and
- To strengthen national service delivery capacity through transformative education and information sharing.
